☀️ Summer Solstice Blessings to all ☀️
I hope the power of the sun radiates joy, light, & abundance in all aspects of our lives!

I thought the perfect way to mark this magical time would be to announce our Summer Witch Mystery Box. Inspired by the boundless beauty of wildflower meadows, the ethereal way in which we lose the sense of time meandering in the golden sunshine, magical afternoons spent foraging in the prairie…

I know I say this every time, but this one has been so special to put together. I hope it evokes the feeling of joyful nostalgia & timelessness for you that only those long summer days can bring.

The box is $75 and includes 8 special items. Send me a message to reserve your box! They will be available for pick up at the beginning of August (I can also ship if you’re not local). For those of you that haven’t bought one of our seasonal boxes before, in the coming days I’ll share some images of previous mystery boxes to give you an idea of what type of items are included.

🪻1st Anniversary Part 2🪻

🌿 C O M M U N I T Y… Seeing so many of you walk through those doors and immediately feel the sense of shedding the stresses of the world, is such a fulfilling experience. I love that this space is more than just a shop, it’s become a happy, healing place for so many of you, and that is honestly the biggest blessing. You truly embody the spirit of what the wildwood is! I am so eternally grateful for the love & support you shower me with, I had no idea people would bring me special gifts to commemorate the anniversary, I was absolutely blown away with gratitude! I received handmade art, propagated plants, vintage treasures, homemade rose lemonade, sweet treats, books, and of course an abundance of flowers. You all sure know how to spoil a girl. Thank you!!! 💜

🌿 A C C O M P L I S H M E N T S … A Wildwood Botanist has come such a long way in this past year!
✨The curated selection has greatly expanded, I know you all love seeing the shelves filled with treasures for you to peruse.
✨ Local artists- it was so important to me to highlight the local makers in our community, over this past year we have added almost 20 local artists & makers to the shop’s offerings! It makes my creative heart so happy.
✨ Events - together we celebrated the turning of the seasons, and created so many beautiful art projects together! The events and classes were a huge part of my dream, and it’s been so fun putting them together for you all! Speaking of which, lots of fun new ones are being concocted in my mind for this year!
✨ Mystery Boxes- the upcoming summer witch box will mark a full year of marking the seasons with our magical mystery boxes! Thank you so much to all of you that have become regular buyers of those. It’s one of my absolute favourite projects at the store, I have so much fun putting them together! Speaking of which, the summer one is being finalised this week and I am SO excited about the treasures in it, might be one of my favourites to date!

🪻1st Anniversary Weekend Part One🪻

As I share these photos, I’m going to use this opportunity to share some thoughts about this journey…

🌿 F A M I L Y … A Wildwood Botanist would quite honestly not exist without my family. Many of you have had the joy of meeting them! My mum when she becomes our cocktail witch every first Friday, or on Saturday afternoons when she comes to hang out. My dad on his random days off when he comes to see me and get a “treat” from one of the local lunch spots, helps me clean up the shop, and most importantly when he takes out my recycling boxes! My brother when he comes to hang out and also take out recycling because your girl here does not like breaking down boxes. 😂 It makes me so happy when I see them chat with you guys, and when you specifically ask me about them. The pride and joy on my parents faces makes this all worth it. I’ve spoken about this with many of you in person, how being a first generation immigrant has shaped so much of my life. We’ve come such a long way from the little farming village in Punjab that my dad is from, my parents have spent their entire lives working incredibly hard, never having the opportunity for their own dreams, because their biggest dream was giving their children a better life and the opportunity to dream up whatever our hearts wanted. Seeing them now, so happy as they get to chat with you all, is so special. Thank you for welcoming us all into this community, you’ll never know how much that means to me. And thank you to my family who have given me this dream of a life, I love you. 💜

🌿 F R I E N D S H I P … I am incredibly blessed to have friends in my life who are my soul sisters. My lifelong cheerleaders and support systems, without who this shop also wouldn’t exist in the way that it does. I love how this shop has become a happy place for all of us! I love you.💜 This first year of Wildwood has also brought new friends into my life, each of you that walk through those doors and into my life, make this place come alive, and bring joy to my life.

This first year has marked a lot of growth, some wonderful milestones, and some beautiful moments in this community. To be continued…

The anniversary weekend is almost upon us! We’re so excited, so have decided to add a couple more fun things to the agenda, see below! And swipe to the last slide to see the full recap of all the fun we have in store for you!

🦊 Lots of you are excited about finding all the foxes, so in addition to the first person to tell me correctly how many there are to win a gift basket, everyone else who correctly counts them on Saturday will also be entered into a raffle to win a prize!

📷 I want us to remember this day and first year forever! Take a Polaroid photo of yourself in your favourite spot in the shop, take one home with you if you’d like, but also print one to add with a note to the pictured antique album as a magical memory of A Wildwood Botanist’s journey! P.S: the Polaroids might be extra fun to post on your insta, tag to be entered into a raffle for a gift card!

This time last year I was becoming the harp lady in town! I am so excited to celebrate our one year anniversary with you all next weekend! I cannot put into words how grateful and honored I am to be a part of this community and to have made so many beautiful connections with so many people this past year. You are all amazing and I want to spend the anniversary weekend celebrating the magic we have created together! 💜 Here’s some of the fun we will have going on:

Hi friends! Can you believe we are coming up on the one year anniversary of our beloved little nature shop!? This year has been so magical and would not be possible without this lovely community, so we will be having a whole weekend of celebrations with YOU! 💜 We will kick off the magic on the evening of June’s First Friday, and then a full day of celebrating on the actual anniversary - Saturday June 6th!

Stay tuned for more details on the fun giveaways and special treats we’ll be having, but for now we are excited to announce the two magical pop ups we will be hosting that weekend:

🪻Friday 6/5, 6-9pm - will be offering intuitive readings. So happy to have Maralis back for this as she had also been here on our opening day!
🪻Saturday 6/6, 11am-3pm- our sweet friends will be offering their beautiful henna art

Such a magical evening last night, celebrating in community. 🌿 The Nightingale’s Song brought tears to my eyes. Thank you to all who joined us for our first ever film screening, your support means the world and helped us raise money for The Nature Conservancy. 💜
