Be LOUD be PROUD and celebrate America! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🌈 We’re gathering the LGBTQ+ community of Lexington (and our allies!) to carry the giant pride flag in this year’s Fourth of July parade through downtown Lexington. We need at least 20 volunteers, but the more the merrier and the q***rer!

A new feature at this year’s Lexington Pride Festival was a collection of 50 yard signs celebration Kentucky’s LGBTQIA+ history! These signs were created in collaboration with Faulkner Morgan Archive and funded through a grant from JustFundKY. The yard signs celebrate the history of LGBTQIA+ Kentuckians - from the Cinema Sisters Film Festival in Paducah to Henrietta Bingham in Louisville to Sweet Evening Breeze in Lexington to Club Riviera in Newport to the Tri-State Gay Rodeo Association and more!

These history yard signs also send an important message: LGBTQIA+ Kentuckians have been a part of Kentucky since the very beginning. Our q***r history is Kentucky history.
