It’s almost here!! The NC Blackberry Festival, Lenoir is this Friday & Saturday. See this wonderful article by Small Town USA with all of the details. Two Brown Dogs hope to see you there!! 🐶🐶
In just a few days, the North Carolina Blackberry Festival gets underway in downtown Lenoir, bringing one of the sweetest summer weekends in the state back to Caldwell County. The 23rd annual celebration fills the streets on Friday, July 10th from 5 PM to 9 PM and again on Saturday, July 11th from 9 AM to 9 PM, with free admission for both days.
All weekend long, visitors can wander through downtown checking out food vendors, local makers, shopping booths, live entertainment, kids activities, and plenty of blackberry-themed treats. Fresh blackberries will be available, and so will warm blackberry cobbler while it lasts. The festival is held right in historic downtown Lenoir, with the main festival area centered along Main Street between West and Harper Avenues, making it easy to explore shops, restaurants, and small-town streets while everything is going on.
One of the biggest traditions is the World’s Largest Patchwork of Blackberry Cobbler, which follows the Blackberry Cobbler Parade and has served more than 2,000 free helpings in past years. The weekend also includes the blackberry eating contest, Little Miss Blackberry Pageant, Kids Zone, Friday night kids party, 5K Glow Run, live music, and hundreds of vendors. Hosted by the Downtown Lenoir Development Alliance, the festival has become one of Lenoir’s biggest summer traditions and brings people from all over the state for two days of food, music, family fun, and blackberries everywhere you look.
