Window on History

Window on History Window on History is another source for historical information offering news about happenings today and yesteryear

To share historical information ,a new page, “Window on History,” has been created as a network for people interested in history. Here subscribers can learn new information or be reminded of events of yesteryear. I plan to expand postings about West Shore communities of Lowther Manor to include East Pennsboro Twp., Upper Allen Twp., Mechanicsburg and Carlisle as well as eastern Dauphin Co

unty, mainly Harrisburg. I’ll also include news of Cumberland County and county organizations when applicable. I’ll continue to post historical-related events happening within a day’s travel of Cumberland County. Depending on the content, I might share breaking news as a public service. However, I will not engage in partisan politics, cultural political issues, religious proselytism, or commercial enterprises. I can only be general about what I might or might not post as it depends on content as it relates to history. Because of your interest in history, I’m asking you to like “Window on History” as another source for historical information. "Window on History” is an independent, volunteer endeavor and will not be affiliated with any historical society.
