We enjoyed our visit to Leesburg VA.
Have you seen this work in progress? Congrats to Town of Leesburg, Virginia and Friends of Leesburg Public Arts for supporting public art!
in 2019 I had the great pleasure to host a couple of art shows (and happy hours) at our Sotheby's Real Estate office in downtown Leesburg. While all my 2020 plans have been pretty much washed out, I still love supporting the arts and hopefully 2021 will bring us all back together again!
Assuming I do get the chance to host a few art shows next year, be sure to LIKE my page, Goodrum - Realtor so that you get on the invite list and have a glass of wine with me and meet some local artists!
You bring your love of art... and I'll bring my "Bob Ross".

Hi public art fans! I am an art teacher looking to create a driveable art scavenger hunt for families. The idea is that families will be able to drive all around Loudoun County and view public art while still practicing social distancing. Can you please comment below with loudoun art pieces that should be included? Thanks!
This week’s featured statue is along the W&OD trail in Leesburg, Virginia. Both walking trails go by the bicycle-themed artwork for those the program hosted by the VVA-Virginia Volkssport Association. For walkers participating in AVA America's Walking Club special theme programs, there is a “twofer” of a clock ON a Little Free Library for one of the trails. Both events are hosted by the US FreedomWalk Festival Club. The club wants to thank the Visit Loudoun visitor center for serving as the starting point. Great historic walks that go back to the founding of the country are why .
After all, Virginia is for Lovers of all kinds!

Canadian geese mate for life. Every year this couple returns to have their babies near our local pond. The little ones are so beautiful, little puffs. Their parents are stately creatures and very devoted to their young. Joy of life!

The color of the land and sky out west is so different from Virginia. Shadows of blue and purple, sun spots of sienna, peach and orange spoke to my heart. I loved this color adventure! 'Call of the Canyon' is just one of my 'World of Color' collection that will be on display with the encaustic works of Anne Stine during our collaborative exhibition at Art Sweet Art Gallery in historic downtown Leesburg. All paintings are for sale through the gallery. Opening reception is September 6, 6-9pm. Artist talks are October 11 starting at 7:30pm. Art inspires. It is for everyone to enjoy so I hope to see you there.

The clouds formed creatures in the sky as a storm rolled in over Clarkes Gap. I snapped a quick photo as we continued west on Rt. 7 and thought to myself, nobody will ever believe the clouds really looked like this. 'Gathering at Clarkes Gap' will be on shown for the first time at Art Sweet Art Gallery in downtown historic Leesburg September 6 through October 20. In collaboration with my friend and talented colleague, Anne Stine, our upcoming exhibit is titled 'The Influencers: Color and Texture'. All paintings are for sale through the gallery. Opening reception is September 6, 6-9pm. Artist talks are October 11 starting at 7:30pm.

Like the icing on the cake! Take a sneak peak at the vintage rosewood frame that I have chosen for my oil painting, 'Budapest'. It captures the feeling of the urban scene perfectly. This piece will be on display at Art Sweet Art Gallery September 6 through October 20. Anne Stine and I have grouped our 'Earth and Sky Connection' and 'World of Color' collections together under the exhibition title, 'The Influencers: Color and Texture.' We both enjoy creating in vibrant color using textural elements. Visit the gallery at 2 Loudoun St. SW in downtown historic Leesburg.
