We are excited to offer a Sewing/Costuming Basics class!! Seating is limited - Only 6 seats available per class.

Beginning Sewing and Costuming Basics is a 3 week class for ages 10 - 18 years of age. Classes will be held Tuesdays from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, beginning June 28, 2022 and taught by Jennifer Wade. Instruction will include basic sewing skills, including hand and machine sewing. Classes will take students from the preparation and planning of sewing through the completion of a patterned project. Hand sewing techniques will include selection of threads and needles, how to sew on buttons/snaps, and how to sew simple hem stitches. Participants will learn parts of the sewing machine, how to manually thread, and learn straight stitch, reverse, and zigzag stitches.

Participants must bring a functioning portable sewing machine to class (See our website for beginner machine suggestions - www.standingovationacademy.com). All other supplies (patterns, fabrics, threads & notions) will be provided.

Cost:
Registration Fee $25
Full Tuition (3 sessions) $150
