Day 2 of the sphagnum moss and it looks like huge mess! I’m building color, lights and darks to be added. This is the scary part where it feels like it’s ruined. It a necessary process, I can’t wait to see what it looks like when I get through this stage!

Moving on to the dreaded sphagnum moss! I’ve started the first section of moss. This is going to be a monster! But I love how connected the painting is starting to look! 😍

Welcome to another Manic Monday! This week I'm finishing the star moss and starting in on the tufa rock. Thank you so much for those who have been following my journey, I appreciate your support so much!

Is Footage Sunday a good name for the day before Manic Monday? I’m cutting the video of my painting and showing the finishing of the star moss. Fantastic to watch if you like repetition to chill!

The rocks are so close to done! And my camera overheated, but I decided to keep painting, so I’ll only have half of the footage of painting the rocks. Rocks finished next week and then we start the sphagnum moss!

Rocks! In progress. I’m so excited to finish these rocks because then this side of the painting will be finished! I didn’t get as far as I wanted to today, but I’m really hoping I’ll have this grouping finished tomorrow. Bonus, my 1996 glasses ended up in the video. I’ve been using them while doing art for 30 years now 😂.
