Consulting the good olā€™ activity book I thrifted for some ideas, and we landed on some play dough. Play dough doesnā€™t entertain him forever but itā€™s just a couple minutes of fun we can enjoy together.

l lead my work with the quiet, observant part of me that notices all the littlest details. the part that is always so intrigued and curious.

And yesā€¦ the doubt still shows up. More times than Iā€™d like. But I keep going, because I know somewhere out there, someone is looking at my work thinking ā€œthis is exactly how I want to remember this part of my lifeā€, and thatā€™s what keeps me moving forward.

Every family deserves the kind of memories that arenā€™t curated, but uniquely theirs, both complex and real. The ones that hold the full range of who you are. The complicated emotions. The tender ones. The ones that act as a mirror, showing you how far youā€™ve come.

Thatā€™s the work. Always has been, always will be. The doubt still shows up but I think iā€™m getting to a place where iā€™ve just stopped letting it lead.
