From Theatre In The Valley's Board of Directors
Thank you to all the actors and patrons who have supported TITV. We want to keep you in the loop of what is happening with the company.
It has been a year since we have moved from number 10 West Pacific Avenue after finishing strong with Accomplice. Thank you to everyone who helped pack up our theatre and move it to a storage unit. Even with the theatre in storage we produced So the Boys Can Cry, a play about the First Responders of the 911 World Trade Center terrorist attacks and a children’s Christmas show The Magic Toy Box written by Rick Bindhamer.
Currently, we are conducting monthly board meetings to discuss our plans to move forward. Recently, in August, we acquired a permanent storage shed to house the theatre’s belongings. Again, thank you to all who helped. We are looking for a permanent space to lease. But, in the meantime, the board has found some wonderful alternative spaces and decided TITV will be a “traveling theatre company.”
Our production this year will be a holiday show called "Holidays with Family," by Rick Bindhamer. This children's musical play features favorite holiday tunes --and yes, you can sing along-- and a touching, heartwarming story perfect for all ages. Performances are at Cactus Valley Retirement Resort, 11088 Amigo St. off St. Rose Pkwy. in Henderson, Dec. 7 & 14 at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 8 & 15 at 2 p.m. Please call 702-558-7275 or email us at [email protected] for more information, including prices and to make your reservation.
Our first play next year will be on January 11, 2020, when TITV pays tribute to Jim Williams by producing On Golden Pond at Sun City MacDonald Ranch clubhouse. On Golden Pond was the last show in which Jim was scheduled to perform. We can’t think of another way to honor him than to continue doing theatre. Audition information will be coming.
We trust you will continue to support and be a part of Theatre In The Valley.
