A big shout out to MotoUnited St George (https://www.facebook.com/motoustg) for allowing our urban sketch group to land and draw in your expansive showroom! Everyone working there was kind and interested in what we were drawing. Two hours isn’t enough when there’s so much great subject matter. We’re excited to announce that the Washington City Arts Council has been invited to showcase the work of area artists in the prestigious Sears Art Museum Hallway Gallery at Utah Tech University!

This special exhibition celebrates the creativity and talent of artists right here in our community and gives visitors an opportunity to experience a wonderful variety of local artwork in a beautiful museum setting.

Join us for the opening reception September 4th • 6:00–8:00 PM, where the exhibition will be judged and awards presented. The show runs September 4 – October 31, 2026

On the left is a reference photo I took in the garden. On the right is a mostly a single continuous line ink drawing. I’ll have my usual debate inside my head. Color? Watercolor? Colored ink or colored pens?
