It's live today. Botanical Dreamscapes opens now with Anthology Gallery & Poetic Tiger Gallery - a group show of around 60 artists. I'm so honored my work is among so many I admire.

My piece is "Held in the Light" - a stag pausing at the edge of a blooming forest, one fleeting moment of wonder caught before it slips away.

If you have a few quiet minutes, wander through the whole exhibition - it's full of tender, dreamlike work:

A stag steps to the edge of a blooming forest, lifts his head, and looks out - and for one held breath, the time stops.

That's the moment I wanted to keep. We move through our days and the magic slips past us: a ray of sunlight, a wild creature watching, a whole living world just off the path we're hurrying down. We miss it because we forget to look. This piece is that fleeting moment of wonder, caught before it can disappear, and a doorway you can step into.

I'm so honored that 'Held in the Light' was chosen for Botanical Dreamscapes, a new online exhibition with Anthology Gallery and Poetic Tiger Gallery. The galleries received over 400 submissions, and it means the world to have my work among so many artists I admire. The show opens August 7th and runs through the 26th - collecting is already open, and a few pieces already found homes.

A small studio update - a new painting station, and I'm a little in love with it.

I found this sideboard on Facebook Marketplace and gave it a new job. Before this, my "taboret" was a foldable plastic table - practical, but not exactly pretty. Now my painting corner finally feels like it belongs in the studio.

The bonus: all that storage. Drawers and shelves keep my most-used brushes, mediums, and paints right where I need them.

Varnishing is the last thing that happens to a painting, and it might be my favorite part.

Everything is finished. The colors have dried down and gone a little flat - oil does that as it cures, especially the darks. Varnish brings all of it back. The depth returns, the surface evens out, and the painting looks the way it did when it was still wet.

Slow passes. Soft brush. No decisions left to make. It's the closest thing painting has to wrapping a present.

Sound on for this one.

I'm Natalie, an oil and mixed media artist in Las Vegas, painting light, florals, and the quiet strength of feminine figures.

Spring Within is a collection of seven small paintings that bring to life the warmth you carry inside. You close your eyes and look within, and your world comes to bloom around you.

Five of these paintings were part of Awaken, the Spring 2026 Square Foot Show – a juried exhibition featuring original works by artists across North America. Two sold during the show. The remaining five are still available on my website:

Started the first layer of a new large 48x48" floral painting. The collage adds another dimension, and the modeling paste raises the flower petals off the canvas - it makes you want to reach out and stroke them. I really want my paintings to be felt and touched. Once it's protected with varnish, touching won't hurt the painting - it just lets the viewer follow every curve.

New here? I'm Natalie, a Las Vegas artist layering ink, acrylic, and oil into paintings about light, belonging, and inner strength.

Close your eyes and breathe in - the freshness of spring is here, alive on the breeze. She lets the scent of blooms fill her, quiet and awake at once.

Artwork drop-off day! My work will be part of the BE HOME SOON exhibition at the Rotunda Gallery at Clark County Government Center ().

This theme is close to my heart: more than 20 moves over the past two decades and I'm still searching for HOME. Is it a coincidence that I connected with a city known for its transient nature?

The exhibition opens July 20, with a reception on August 27. I can't wait to see how the other artists in the exhibit interpret the theme.

What made a place finally feel like home for you - was it time, people, or something you can't quite name?

When you work on several projects in one small studio random things tends to accumulate everywhere. The other day I stepped into my studio, looked around, and noticed "traces" of various activities: pencils and sketchboard from drawing practice, flower arrangements from a recent photography session, teapot and teacup, oil painting supplies, and obviously paintings in progress. Usually I get stressed in messy environments but as an artist I learned to embrace a certain amount of chaos. How do you keep your studio (or any other workspace) organized?
