Savannah Jayne Sturm was born in Las Vegas in 1994. She grew up photographing, drawing, and painting the horses at her family’s ranch. She received her BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2017. After graduating, she worked as a Visual and Brand designer in Silicon Valley, creating logos and brand identities for numerous startups and established businesses. She moved bac
k to Las Vegas during the COVID-19 pandemic to help out on her family’s ranch and decided it was finally time to pursue her true passion of painting horses and ranch animals as a career. "I have always been fascinated with horses. On the ranch, they are our constant companions. Their silent strength of character, their ability to listen and comfort, and their pure and unfettered enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures are enough to bring wonder to even the most cynical of people. I believe that there is a bond between human and horse that has been ingrained in us throughout our recorded history and that a horse is a true and soulful reflection of the human partnerships they have made. I aim to explore the essence of this bond through paint and mixed media. I believe that by capturing the spirit of the horse in a painting, I am also creating a reflection of our souls."
