Addiction to P*rn…

At its core, it may not be about what most men think it is.

Most men assume it is simply the naked body, the s*xual stimulation, or the chemical explosion of release and or**sm. But beneath all of that, a man may be chasing something even more powerful.

Validation.

He wants the woman on the screen to look directly at him and communicate:

“Yes. You are enough. You are desired. You are wanted, needed, and worthy of the conquest.”

Now watch what happens when that same hunger enters his marriage.

His wife pulls away. She turns down his touch. She no longer looks at him with the admiration she once did. He tells himself he is frustrated because he wants more s*x, affection, or respect. Sometimes that is true. But often, he is chasing something beneath all three.

He is addicted to her reaction toward him.

If we give a woman the ability to validate us, we also give her the ability to invalidate us. Her approval controls our confidence. Her distance controls our mood. Her reaction begins to tell us who we are.

That is a loss of Dominion.

Wealth is more than money.

A man can be wealthy in his marriage. His faith. His health. His relationships. His wisdom.

There are many currencies in life.

But don't make the mistake of pretending money doesn't matter.

Money creates access.

That's one reason I've intentionally put myself in great rooms over the years. Sometimes with billionaires. Sometimes with elite military teams, NFL organizations, extraordinary leaders, and men operating at the highest levels of what they do.

I've coached some of them. Partnered with some of them.

And learned from all of them.

Because better rooms change your reference points.
