Happy Closing Day to Waitress🥧
A dream show
A dream cast
A dream theatre

Waitress healed me so deeply. I'm about to be so honest.....
I didn't know if I wanted to do this anymore, to be a performer.

It's been a rough couple of years, audition season this year has been tough, moving to NYC is tough and I was getting to the point where I was heartbroken to leave the thing I have dedicated my whole life too but so exhausted and burned out.

This industry isn't always kind. It never truly loves you back, and it's about luck more than hard work most days.

But this show reminded me why I love it. That I belong on stage or screen, that I am worthy to be here.

This cast reminded me there are kind people out in the industry that you can have a positive theatre experience where the drama is onstage and not backstage.

But what did it most for me was Wednesday night, a dead audience except for this one woman who was hooping and hollering for us the whole show. As we took our bows, you could see her smile go from ear to ear, and she just kept yelling, "Thank you, I loved that, thank you!!!!"

At the end of the day, I have always wanted to do theatre for people like her. Who need art, who want an escape, and want to be entertained.

So, here's to closing this chapter and being rejuvenated, excited, and thankful for the next one. 🥂

WHAT'S HAUNTING YOU? By David Veatch

We open in a week! All of us involved are so excited to share this work with our community. Book your tickets early as there are only 50 seats per performance. There is also a virtual option for opening night if you are unable to attend in person. Tickets are pay-what-you-will and can be reserved at the link in my bio!

After each performance, we will also have a 30 minute talk-back session with mental health professionals from Roanoke.

**What's Haunting You? by David Veatch** -
Come see the performance of a brand new play
Nov. 1st at 8pm and Nov. 2nd at 4pm & 8pm at the Roanoke Ballet Theatre in Grandin.

In this fall romcom, a Man and Woman grapple with their fears and insecurities, as they do not fit the traditional mold of being the leading man/woman while pursuing their relationship. Both of which can see their insecurities made manifest in the form of a bedsheet ghost haunting their every interaction. The play focuses on themes of mental health and self-acceptance, while challenging traditional concepts of the leading man/woman.

Play contains some adult themes. Viewer discretion is advised.
