Two chairs (the final chairs) finished (refinished). What a difference a week (YEAR!) makes.
What a funny thing to have such satisfying work and to be so happy to be done with it!
I’m pleased with the results.

I’m excited to have won two blue ribbons this year, for my teabox and a small Kumiko panel. Affirmations can be so small but feel so big.
The teabox is Sapele with a willow veneer on the lid. The Kumiko is poplar set in cherry.

A sander, a shop vac, and a box fan.

Taking these rungs apart was more work, but it was easier to sand them, and now the chair will be put back tighter than it was.

Well, now I’ve done it.

This teabox is made from Sapele, and a weeping willow that grew at my childhood home ( the willow forms the panels of the lids). It has room for bags of tea and two boxes for loose tea that can be removed.
