Parents - A short form was sent home with students to get your contact information for the Theatre Boosters. This is for two things:

1. In case you would like to volunteer to help with the concession stand at shows, help with the International Thespian Honors Induction and Awards ceremony (Theatrical Honors Society that your student can earn entrance into - looks good on college & job applications), & occasionally with feeding our kids during long rehearsals.
— AND —
2. So you can be kept informed of what is happening with the rehearsals & shows, required forms that need turned in, what the fees are & when they are due, costume needs, events, & any other important info to know.

In the past families have voiced concerns about not getting information but if we don’t have your contact info, we cannot send anything to you. Please fill out the form & have your student return it when rehearsals resume. I look forward to meeting all of our new families! 😊

Hello everyone! Two things…
1. Add to your calendars & tell your students - Workshops for the spring musical “Footloose” are after school:
*Learn the Music 12/11 (this Thursday!)
&
**Learn the Dance (12/18)
Practice over your break because
***Auditions will be January 8th!

2. PARENTS - We will be having a Booster meeting in January. I’m working on a date & time, but last year we found that weekends were the best for most people. Once the musical begins, we will try to have them at the end of a rehearsal so you can pick up your student at the same time. Drama Boosters are involved with setting up & running the concession stand at shows and planning fun events & awards for the students. We are not selling junk - meetings ate short & to the point and we are here to support our Theatre students so please join us! 😃

Have a wonderful holiday break & I will see students at the Dance workshop and parents at the January meeting!

Hello new and returning LHS Drama parents! School will be back in session soon which means the Parent Boosters will be getting active. Be watching for a meeting happening soon as we want all of you involved with supporting our Theatre students! 😃. (And no, that doesn’t mean you have to sell anything - we do have concessions at the shows but there are several other ways to help).
The play will be The Outsiders
The musical will be Footloose

Cast - I need your ENVELOPES TODAY please!

Cast & Crew - SODA & WATER & PACKAGED SNACKS like chips etc. should be turned in. I know you’re at school so please contact your parents & ask them to drop off these items during rehearsal tonight if possible because Thursday’s schedule may be different & we have to get drinks chilled before Friday. Thank you!

Cast & Crew - BAKED GOODS need to be brought in by call time (now show time) for Friday night’s show. Reminder to ziploc baggie or plastic wrap them to sell for $1 each.

Booster meeting this Tuesday 3/25 starting at 5:30pm (rehearsal runs until 6pm) at LHS in the little theatre (enter GAC doors, turn left, go thru double doors & walk down the steps or go left to the second door if you need a ramp).
*Planning the concession stand & flower sale for the musical “Mamma Mia!” April 4th-6th. We will have a sign-up to work a shift. Yes you can still see the show if you volunteer 😉 All are welcome to come support our Theatre students!
*Also discussing plans for the annual National Thespian Honor Society awards & inductions coming up April 12th.

Rehearsals for our spring musical Mamma Mia! are continuing, the instagram is creating excitement & we are ready to meet all our families!

For everyone to get more information, we are having a meeting on (TONIGHT!) Monday January 27th at 6pm after rehearsal. CHANGE OF PLACE - the meeting will be in the little theatre - go in main front doors, turn left, go past the cafeteria & through a set of 2 doors & you walk straight into it.

Come meet your Director & Choreographer 🙂. We will discuss the show, State Theatre Conference, Theatre Club, Boosters, forms, fees, and answer questions for you. (NOTE - We will NOT be able to serve refreshments as the cafeteria is in use for another group.)
