🎨 Feature Friday: Meet Ron Ramback!

This week, we're spotlighting Ron Ramback, a talented woodworker who transforms nature's imperfections into beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations!

Ron's woodworking journey began in 1968 with a high school class. Mostly self-taught, he developed a passion for creating rustic furniture and handcrafted pieces using salvaged wood.

What makes Ron's work unique? He finds beauty in fallen trees, burls, and naturally weathered wood that others might overlook. Each piece is inspired by the wood's natural grain, colors, and character, making every creation truly one of a kind!

Rather than forcing wood into a particular design, Ron lets each piece's natural character guide his creations. From furniture and mirrors to walking sticks, no two pieces are ever alike!

Stop by the William Rugh Art Gallery to admire Ron's craftsmanship in person!

🎨 Feature Friday: Meet Annetta McGinnis!

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Annetta McGinnis, a talented local artist who finds inspiration in the beauty of New Hampshire’s North Country and her travels abroad.
Born in Cambridge, England, Annetta now calls Lancaster, New Hampshire, home, nestled in the beautiful Great North Woods, a place she lovingly refers to as “God’s Country.”
While oils are her favorite medium, Annetta also enjoys working with watercolors and pastels. For her, painting is more than just creating art. It’s a therapeutic escape that takes her to another plane!
A former elementary school teacher, Annetta found creative ways to incorporate art into her writing lessons. Today, she enjoys gardening, quilting, playing cards, walking, volunteering, and spending time with her grandchildren, all while continuing to pursue her passion for painting.

We’re delighted to have Annetta’s artwork represented at the William Rugh Art Gallery! Stop by and discover her beautiful work for yourself!

Introducing Feature Friday!

With more than 90 artists represented at the William Rugh Art Gallery, we want to give you the opportunity to get to know the talented people behind the artwork you see in our gallery.
Each Friday, we’ll feature an artist and share a little about their story, their craft, and the work that makes them unique.

For our first Feature Friday, we’re remembering the artistry of David Gruenig of Gruenig Glassworks.
David was a glass professional for decades, beginning his career in 1972. With formal training in chemistry, he brought a unique understanding of the science behind glass to his art. He viewed glass as a three dimensional fluid in motion, “frozen into place at will,” and combined European and American glassmaking techniques with innovative methods of his own.
Each of David’s pieces was individually handmade and signed, and his work became part of collections around the world. Although David has passed away, his artistry and craftsmanship live on through the beautiful glasswork he created.
We’re honored to have a selection of David Gruenig’s work at the William Rugh Art Gallery. His remaining pieces are currently 20% off, making this a wonderful opportunity to take home a piece of his artistic legacy.

Check back next Friday as we introduce you to another artist represented in the gallery.
