This one is hard 🧡
When I took over Pikopye’s Town, the heart of it was already there — the previous owner had created something really special, a place rooted in imagination, play, and community.
My role became building on that foundation, often in ways you couldn’t always see.
Behind the scenes, we invested in safety, updated electrical, added new changing stations, brightened the interiors, and completely transformed the backyard space.
We refreshed and reimagined several of the playhouses to bring new life into the space.
We also evolved what Pikopye’s Town could be.
We expanded programming, introduced events and tea parties (which became one of our specialties!), and brought in more thoughtful food options — organic, gluten-free, and better-for-you snacks alongside the classic treats kids love.
We built community partnerships with local businesses like Mom & Pops Organic Popsicles, Eva Cookies and Craig-O’s Pizza, and collaborated with so many incredible vendors — most of them female or family-owned, like ATXGrazeHaus and JustAddMagicEntertainment.
And probably the biggest transformation of all was our birthday parties.
Drawing from my background in hospitality and event planning, we shifted from simply hosting parties to creating a service-driven, “surprise and delight” experience. I’m so proud of the team we built and the magic they brought to every celebration.
Along the way, I met some really amazing moms and made real friendships, something I’ll always carry with me.
And on a more personal note… I wanted my kids to see what it means to build something. To take risks. To show up.
�Some of you even met my 12-yr-old daughter along the way, whether as Bingo at our Bluey events or as the “mini Grinch” during the holidays ❤️
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to pass Pikopye’s Town on to its next chapter.
The new owner Sandra has big plans — she’s already investing into the space and has plans to grow, including a second location. I truly hope you’ll continue to show up, support her, and keep building this beautiful community together.
