A few days late, but oh well. I started out just trying out a technique that Tiffany Solorio showed on her YouTube channel recently, but it didn't turn out that great. Luckily, once you cut it up, it's always better. I did add some white & gold splatter also. Plus adding some white texture paste through a stencil definitely helped. I've got enough to make more tags or some birthday cards, or whatever. I also used a needle tip bottle with watered down white acrylic paint to add scribbles to one section - I really like how that looks, but I don't know what I'm gonna do with it yet.

Catching up with the Full Deck Challenge 4

Card #26 (the halfway point)
The prompts were: Boho (I had to look that up & I'm still not totally sure exactly what that is - lol), Beads, Bee, Flowers, Wrap.

My favorite part of this card was using an embossing folder to create the cool paisley-esque design on the background. Then I used a Distress Oxide ink pad in Faded Jeans, to rub over the raised design to make it more prominent. I love the raised texture.

The background was made years ago with Distress Oxide inks also, in Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch & Peacock Feathers. The technique doesn't have a name cuz I made it up while I was experimenting. Sometime I'll have to try to recreate what I did, because the visual texture is similar to a sprayed look but doesn't at the same time. It's very unique.

I promised a purple version & here it is. Which color scheme is your favorite? Pink or purple?

I love purple. I don't know why I didn't do this color first.

I took pictures of every step. It's so cool to see how it starts & where it ends up. I'm super happy with this one.

Now my mind wants to try another purple tag, but this time using more purple colored paper & not rely on my Distress Oxide inks as much (which I love),I just wanna see how it looks.
