Ok, heres my bitch session. I've been playing myself in bands for over 40 years, we have Always owned our PA gear. So over 10 plus years ago my passion for sound and lighting production has made it a great business, and I have had the pleasure to work for some amazing talent. That said, I get a message over the weekend, local band needs PA for a gig, subs, tops, monitors, console, mics for a 9:30 to 2am gig in Sarasota. ... which for me is not out of the question. So after they tell me what they need... I ask what is their budget... and of course i know its gonna be way under what I'm about ready to hit him with. So I explain to him.... IF they were to rent the same amount of gear... then hire a tech to run it... there is no way to fit their budget. My bottom line is.... if your in a band and you are willing and able to invest in your guitars, drums, keys, amps.... dont forget to invest in a PA.... I know I'd did.

Three very successful nights working with Skerryvore band in Downtown Dunedin in three different venues, two inside and a large crowd in Pioneer Park. I love to work with very positive people that put the event together.... kudos to Michael Lang and Alan McHale, to Backline Superstars. The sound production was great because I work with great people.

Had a great night last night, even with some major issues. Technology 98% of the time is our friend, but that 2% came up last night in the form of download that went bad and a set up on my X32 that didn't work from the band that provided it to me. But with perseverance and my knowledge of not panicking and making things turn around. The gig was a success.
