On the right side is Ron'Queall Kyles self-portrait completed during his senior year.
After his many requests to do so, I let him paint the left side of his ceiling tile.
He, again, meticulously took his time to do his best job creating a portrait to honor the love he had for his girlfriend.
When I was struggling while getting ready for school, his mother sent me a message and requested I paint over the other 1/2 of this ceiling tile.
Yes Mama I can do that.

Hoping my visualization does justice to HONOR HIM
WE as a collective loved him.
WE are represented by all the dots woven in and out in combination with our memories.
The focal point purposefully carries an unfinished look, with no color assigned to the hand, wings or banner. This represents his future that did not get to be fully played out here on Earth, and all the possibilities for greatness that did not come to fruition, for us to be able to see.
