In 2021, I began to explore the desire in me to create, to work with colors, to let colors clash and collide, to let colors move and flow side by side. The more time I spent working with the colors the more I would get lost in a new world of exploration. I realized I had been denying the inner tug in me to take a chance and be free to get messy. I never know what the end will look like but that's

okay because for me the real fun happens in the adventure of the 'in between'. All of this is about taking a plunge into a new world of exploration.

•A plunge to find my value in being – giving and receiving
•A plunge into realizing I have to be vulnerable, visible and take chances

I'll be there and I'm going as an artist this year! I am excited to announce that I will have my painting called "Pierced" on display at Art Prize 2025 in Grand Rapids, Michigan this year.

Hang on for the ride.... I'll be sharing more about this painting's story and the process of creating it over the next few weeks. This is going to be fun!

And then there was more celebration! More people coming together to share our stories and experience the depth of human emotions, held together, comforted and renewed in faith with hope of the resilience available to us, to pull us forward. A special richness of life comes when we share with others and feel a heart connection. Here are a few moments of celebration from my second Art Reception, DEEPLY IMPACTED, held in May.

This past year has been a year of exploring what it means to practice adding a pause, to question the unknown. In doing so I've been lead to so many new experiences. Example, in the creation of this painting, I dared to consider what might happen if I drew a layer over a previous painted piece. It felt risky. I feared ruining what I had. And to my surprise I discovered a playful, whimsical energy that totally lifted my spirits and was exactly what I needed.

It comes with such a spark of curiosity that it has pulled me forward into journeys I never expected and brought transformation I never could have imagined.
