For years, running was our thing. I ran while pregnant with her… and beside her when she was little.

Life shifted, a foot injury slowed me down, and it’s been a year and a half since my last 5K.

But yesterday, I laced up again — and this time, she was the one leading me.

The roles reversed, and honestly… it was one of the sweetest full-circle moments.

In my 50s, things feel harder — but I set two goals this year:
✨ Put myself out there with my art
✨ Run a 5K again

And I’ve done both.

Art and running… both bringing me back to feeling like myself again. 💛

Downtown Lake Charles Series

The old church on Ford Street has such a quiet charm. The tall steeple, the simple white wood, and the trees hanging over it make it feel like a little piece of history tucked into downtown.

I loved turning this historic building into a watercolor for my Downtown Lake Charles series.

Sometimes the most beautiful subjects are the places we drive past every day.
