My cousins run a coffee and thrift shop in Hawley, PA in The Poconos call Queen of Cups Coffee & Vintage. I got the chance to go this summer and I was blown away! My Story Hunts may contain lizards! 🦎

Sorry for the jump scare but I have been known to include a lizard with a clue for an Animal Kingdom Custom Team Hunt. I used them as props for a game for “A Parent Trap” themed bachelorette hunt at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. How could I not with Meredith Blake and her Evian bottle!?!!

I had some divine Dolly Parton inspiration today! Can I get a Dollylujah!?

It is 9/25 after all and I’m so glad someone smartly recognized it’s a play on “9 to 5”, the title song from Dolly’s 1980 classic movie.
In the school After Care Group I run, I had the kids use broken crayons to prep their own “Crayon of Many Colors”. I will melt these and then Monday they will each color a “Coat of Many Colors” while we talk about Dolly’s impact. More to come, maybe even the full chorus I rewrote for this project 🎶

If you think new attractions are immersive, you should have been around for when live Pirates were IN the Pirates of the Caribbean!

💯 NOT AI. This put new meaning to “Talk Like a Pirate Day”. Live actors were in the queue and on the attraction to help bring these scenes to another level. This usually happened for special events.
My videos are from Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in 2019 and 2022. You can even hear my husband at one point negotiate splitting the treasure b***y 🪎

Talk Like A Pirate and Hunt Like a Pirate!

There be that one time I fashioned a Story Hunt that led scallawags across Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort seeking pirate references. A perfect place for a treasure hunt like this, including a few of the spots below.

🌴 Old Port Royale named after the real Jamaican 17th Century city and starting hub for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
🏴‍☠️ Fuentes del Morro Pool is well battled by pirates, including the ship in the kids’ splash area.
💣 Caribbean Cay is armed with canons and lots of spots to enjoy your treasures
🧭 Spyglass Grill has bounties from all of the pillaging on display, including the Pieces of Nine (or Eight) as seen in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened its latest offering early and it is worth every moment!

✍️ The Magic of Disney Animation officially opens September 14 but my family was lucky enough to walk into a soft opening on September 13. We loved it all and will share more!
Here is a look at viewing the short that inspired this redo and the area’s return to its former glory This Emmy-award winning short is “Once Upon A Studio”.

Watch this at least 5 times, one for each screen around the room because even the artwork on the walls come to life.
I’m telling you, make time to go to The Magic of Disney Animation. But be prepared for all of the emotions, especially for a Disney Kid who became a Disney Adult raising Disney kids.
