Just finished an upgrade to my studio software. I use Cakewalk (by Roland) and went right to their top-of-the-line "Sonar Platinum". Unlimited tracks along with surround sound processing, an amazing array of effects, and WAY more. Going to take a bit of time to learn how to use all of this, but I have a feeling it's going to be very fun "work".

I found some pictures of our very first time recording way back in the early 80's. This was not done in our studio, but rather in a studio owned by a friend. We've come a log way since then.

I got the studio set up and running at the new location. Went to work on building the vocal room (my own personal padded room). Part way through that, the motherboard on the studio computer began to generate errors. It limped along for a while and finally gave up and died. The data was safe on the solid state drives, so I just moved them into my office computer. Then more problems started... the sound card in my office computer has some compatibility issues with the studio software. So the decision was made and another computer was ordered. It is now up and running better and faster than ever before. Now I can get back to work on my recording projects. I will post some pictures of the new studio set-up soon.

The new solid state hard drives have made an AWESOME difference in the studio computer. Much faster. The X2 Studio software runs so smooth on SSD's. Definitely worth the price of the upgrade.
