🇺🇸 HONORING A LAKE BLUFF LEGACY! 🇺🇸

Join us for the Robert McClory Bike Path Marker Dedication, honoring a longtime Lake Bluff resident whose public service helped shape our community and our nation.

📅 Wednesday, November 4, 2026
⏰ 10:00 AM Central Standard Time (CST)
📍 Robert McClory Bike Path repair station, across from Artesian Park, just south of the Lake Bluff train station.

Congressman McClory served 10 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (1963–1983), playing an influential role in the Watergate proceedings that preceded President Richard Nixon’s resignation. He also championed civil rights, environmental protection, and bipartisan cooperation.

His son, Oliver McClory, will attend the ceremony, joining friends and neighbors in celebrating his father’s lasting legacy.

🕰️ A timely reminder: Standard Time will be in effect! Clocks fall back one hour on Sunday, November 1. Please check your clocks so you arrive for the 10:00 AM dedication.

Costumes ready? Candy bags waiting? Gather your little ghosts and goblins for the Lake Bluff Park District’s Boo Bash!

🕕 6:00–7:30 PM
📍 Blair Park, Lake Bluff

🍬 Trunk-or-Treat begins at 6:00 PM—plus festive games, costume contests, and LOTS OF CANDY!
🎃 The first 300 children can pick a pumpkin from the patch by the paddle hut—one per child!
🐾 Bring your costumed pup and enter the pet costume contest!
🍕 Mama Mia Pizza will sell brick-oven pizza, and Snowie Ice will sell hot cocoa and shaved ice.

🎬 Stay for “Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” at 7:30 PM in the field by the Sled Hill!

Admission is FREE for Lake Bluff Park District residents; food and drinks are available for purchase. Online registration is requested to help organizers plan.
