Went to the beach last week to celebrate my birthday, I think the kids needed it more than me.

I got to meet this wonderful man a few times when he played out in Vegas, also because I loved to visit my cousin who was always on tour with him. The world lost a great man yesterday, he was kind, thoughtful and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He treated everyone like family and could strike up a conversation with everyone he met. You will be missed Charlie Daniels, but you will always be remembered. Many prayers to my family who are grieving, wish I was there to give you a hug.

My cool find at the 99 cent store, it kept Carter busy for a little while. I also found hand sanitizer, then spent the rest of the day putting together the new trampoline.

So we did a thing and now have a puppy at our home. He is perfect and the boys are over the moon. His name is Maximus, Max, and he is a hypoallergenic, a Havamalt. He is like a stuffed animal that moves.
