I think one of my absolute favorite parts of crocheting will always be seeing something I made actually being worn and loved by someone else. 🥹🧶💕
I know I haven't posted as much as I would like lately. Between working full time, grad school, and just LIFE 😂, finding time to crochet can sometimes be a challenge. But even when I've been quiet on here, my hooks definitely haven't been completely still.
Looking back at some of my older pieces and then looking at what I'm making now has really made me appreciate how much I've grown as a crochet hobbyist. Some of these pictures go back a couple of years, and it's crazy to see how I've gone from teaching myself new stitches and making simpler pieces to now playing around with ruffles, bows, bags, clothing, charms, appliqués, different shapes and basically anything else that makes me think, "Wait...I wonder if I can crochet that?" 😂
And I'm really proud of that growth.
Loose Threads is still very much my little creative corner. Me, my family, friends, and the people closest to me are definitely still some of my best customers 😂💕, but that makes me even more grateful for every person who has ever purchased something from me, asked me to make something special for them, recommended me to somebody, shared my work, or simply told me they liked something I created.
But I think my FAVORITE part is getting the pictures afterward. 🥹
I can stare at something I made all day and find every tiny thing I could've done differently 😂, but then somebody sends me a picture wearing it. Or I see how they styled it. Or I get to see a mom and her little one matching in something that came off MY crochet hook. And suddenly I'm sitting there like, "WAIT...I MADE THAT!" 😂🥹
That feeling never gets old.
So here's a little photo dump of some Loose Threads creations—some older, some newer—and, more importantly, some of the beautiful people who have given my work somewhere to go besides my yarn room. 😂🧶💕
Thank you to everybody who has supported this little hobby of mine while I continue learning, experimenting, occasionally frogging half a project 😭, and adding a few more Loose Threads to the world.
I'm excited to see what I make next. 🧶✨💕
