Diablo Women's Chorale Founded in 1942, we are a diverse group of women singers from all areas of Contra Costa County. New members are welcomed in September and January each year. St.

The Diablo Women's Chorale, founded in 1942, is a diverse group of women singers from all areas of Contra Costa County and surrounding Bay Area counties in California. Membership, which has ranged from 14 to 40 through the years, is currently around 30. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Matthew Lutheran Church in Walnut Creek.

Turn the dial and step into Dream Radio, the Diablo Women’s Chorale’s Fall 2026 concert program. Broadcasting from somewhere between sleep and waking, this imaginative collection explores dreams in all their forms: joyful, mysterious, hopeful, romantic, and strange 🔮
With music spanning a wide range of styles and eras, each song becomes its own frequency, casting us through memory, fantasy, longing and possibility. Join us and discover what happens when the mind begins to wander and the music begins to dream.

Our newest members got the very important job of judging the talent, while the rest of us took the stage for solos, duets, group numbers, and a whole lot of karaoke enthusiasm.

The DWC Summer Singers understood the assignment. 😄 We had so much fun making this before our summer concert, complete with our finest Yacht Rock attire, plenty of laughs, and all the excitement leading up to the show. 🌺☀️

The Diablo Women’s Chorale is honored to welcome back composer Joe Magdalena, whose music and stories have inspired us for years. At 91 years old, Joe continues to share his remarkable talent, and you’ll hear several of his original works performed by members of the Diablo Women’s Chorale.

You’ll also hear from the wonderful Steven Evans Cello Choir, whose beautiful performances add something truly special to the program.

While our main concert sets sail with a Yacht Rock theme, these featured collaborations bring even more heart, artistry, and variety to the evening.

Join us this Monday, July 27th, for a concert full of great music and wonderful guest performers. We can’t wait to share it with you!

Captains Log: Summer Workshop Week 2
This week we’re tackling “Taking It to the Streets,” complete with those big, soulful vocals that make you immediately want to grow a beard, put on some sunglasses, and sing from the depths of your soul.

The harmonies are coming together, the energy is high, and the yacht rock vibes are strong. We can’t wait to keep sharing what we’ve been working on this summer!
