To empower each other with positive affirmations, to me is key to a brighter future. After all, affirmations are what I turned to during my darkest hour to help me rise above the hardships of life and lessons that were learned. I believe that we must love ourselves before we can truly come from a place of love and understanding with others. It is my hope to be an example to my children and family of what Lovinity truly means to me. Every hand crafted piece is unique,made to order and made with love. Yes! It is that time to get myself back out there more consistently now that the Summer heat may be vacating San Diego.

I have a few events lined up for October. Ladies at the Lake will be a good one AND my first big event since rebranding. I’ll also be vending at a new market here in Lakeside. And, I’ll be at my original stomping grounds with Backroads.

Working on lining up the rest of 2026, as it’s my FIRST full holiday season pouring and selling my candles and other goodies. I’m excited to still be going and trying.

100+ candles.
11 flavors.
An unreasonable amount of wicks. 😂

I’m officially in prep-and-pour mode getting Lovinity stocked up for my next couple of shows, and this is what the beginning of 100+ little jars of happiness looks like.

And yes, I call the scents flavors. No, you cannot eat the candles. You know, just in case that needs to be said. 😂

Now comes the fun part… pouring all these babies and watching the shelves fill back up.

Checked out the grand opening of the thelakesidefarmersmarket tonight! Said hi to friends (not all pictured), those I’ve come to know through other events and met Amber, who helped organize all of this for our awesome community in Lakeside. A really cool vibe and really cool things on the horizon for this one.

Should I inquire and add my name to the vendor list? This would be a weekday event. 🤔

I will be at Backroads Certified Farmers Market this Saturday, 9/19 with my candles, foam soap and sprays. Pumped to be getting back out there after the Summer heat kept me away from all of you!

See you out in Lakeside/Flynn Springs this Saturday from 8:30-12!

It’s time! I’ll be seeing you in September! The heat kept me and the candles away from events through the Summer, so I’m excited to be able to get back out there again.

My home Farmers Market Backroads Certified Farmers Market, where it first started is on the dock.
Plus, the Arts and Crafts Fair at the La Mesa First United Methodist Church. I was invited back and couldn’t be more thrilled to join everyone once more. It was a great success last time AND is walking distance from downtown La Mesa.

Looking to fill the last few months of the year with as many events as I can. I’ll let you know as they’re booked.

While I see other candle makers about to roll out their fall scents, I am not… yet.

Citronella is in its final testing stage and will be available soon! Because, finding the time to test burn 4 hours at a time during summer break with the kids, has its challenges.

So… apparently I ghost my own business page now. 😂

Honestly, every time I disappear, I fully intend on posting “tomorrow.”

Then somehow it’s two months later.

Anyway… hi. I’m Jessica.

If you’re new here, welcome! If you’ve been around for a while, thanks for hanging around and keeping a seat open for me.

I’m the person behind the Lovinity curtain. I make the candles, the room sprays, the foam soap, pack the orders, answer the messages… basically, if it has a Lovinity label on it, I’ve absolutely touched it.

When I’m not doing that, I work at a school with amazing little humans. I’m a mom to two radical gremlins. I love live music, cold b**r and w**e, making people laugh, singing entirely too loud, dancing in grocery store aisles when a good song comes on (which is always), inserting movie quotes into conversation’s, and making weird faces at kids until they laugh.

I started Lovinity because I wanted to make things that make people smile.

Life can get heavy. If I can make someone laugh at a candle label, make their house smell amazing, or just give them five minutes to slow down… that’s a pretty good day to me.

Truth is, I’ve spent way too much time overthinking social media had to be polished. I’m in my “finally letting myself be seen” era, so unless I’m doing that, posting feels… eek. And, to be totally honest, I’m kind of afraid to be myself in front of all of you, so that’s taking some time for me to adjust too.

I’d rather you get to know me than see a perfectly curated business page though.

So from here on out, you’re getting all of it. That’s the plan I’m telling myself now, anyway.

The behind-the-scenes, market days, new products, random stories, things that make me laugh, things that don’t go as planned, and probably the occasional disappearing act… because I’m still working on that part. 😂

A perfect example of when preparation meets opportunity!

Yesterday morning, I was asked if I could fill in for a vendor who wouldn’t be able to make it for a makers market later that night. It was at a spot I thought would be rad to vend at when I inquired 6 months ago.

For the first time I was able to say yes because I actually have enough inventory to just say yes. That took time to build. I am very proud of myself as it’s me who’s funding this dream.

When you buy a candle from Lovinity, from me. You are literally supporting and helping with the dream I have of changing the trajectory of my life, for me and my kids. That’s friggin big. You’re helping support a single mom, who’s doing her best to support her kids in all of the ways that they deserve. While trying to remember to take care of myself in the midst of keeping the lights on. It’s not easy, and most days feel like defeat or overwhelm.

One thing I know, is that I keep dreaming and having faith even on the days I don’t wanna. I keep going because everything is possible. It’s the little wins, the little victories, like building up my inventory enough to be able to say yes to a last minute event invite.
