Anderson Design Group

Anderson Design Group Welcome to Anderson Design Group's Official Page! Every print, postcard or book we produce is printed in the USA.

Everything you see on our site is original art, created with care by our team of artists at Anderson Design Group and produced by American printers who take great pride in their work. As artists and craftspeople, we are passionate about preserving the time-honored traditions and techniques of artists and print-makers from the 20th Century. We pick up where masters from the Golden Age of Illustration left off, building on what they began to create a whole new body of poster art for our generation. We travel all over America (especially the National Parks) for inspiration, but we love our hometown, Nashville, Tennessee. Each day, we get up and go to work, using our talents to create affordable, accessible art that makes us smile. Our goal is to connect with others by producing high-quality prints, books, and gifts that beautify everyday life. When you buy one of our creations, you provide opportunity for artists, print-makers, book binders, paper vendors, shipping partners and many others who take pride in working with their hands.

Next Saturday, October 17th, from 1-3 PM, Ren Brabenec will be signing copies of Beyond the National Parks at Horizon Books in downtown Traverse City, Michigan! 👏 🔥 🕺🏻 📚 🖊️

Ren researched and wrote the book while our studio artists illustrated the pages, and our own Joel Anderson provided creative direction and page layout. 🖼️ 📖

No book is quite like this one. It features hundreds of lesser-known yet no less beautiful National Park Service sites in all 50 states, inspiring readers and giving them helpful insight into exploring the paths less traveled. 🗺️ 🌳 ⛰️ 🏞️ 🏜️

Hope to see you at the signing! 😍

Caribou-Targhee National Forest is an undiscovered gem of Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah. It features over three million acres of rugged wilderness spanning three states, a dramatic mix of remote alpine peaks, volcanic calderas, and underground caves, and wildlife roaming the habitat as it has for thousands of years. 🦌

Because the protected national forest borders both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, it provides vital, rich habitat for grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, moose, Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, and bald eagles. 🦅

Visitors enjoy the national forest because it offers similar landscapes and wildlife-viewing opportunities as Yellowstone and Grand Teton, but with just a fraction of the crowds. 😍

“As daylight fades across the rugged desert, something ancient stirs among the rocks… Perched above a winding canyon, the legendary Chupacabra emerges from the shadows—spined, watchful, and illuminated by the last fiery glow of the western sky. I wanted this piece to feel less like an illustration of a creature and more like a moment of discovery: that uneasy instant when the landscape suddenly feels alive…and you realize you may not be alone. Inspired by the stark beauty of Guadalupe Mountains National Park, I combined the sweeping grandeur of the American Southwest with the mystery and unease of one of our most enduring modern legends. A little beauty. A little danger. And something watching from the twilight.” 👹

Spooky! That’s how collaborating artist Arden von Haeger (ArdenArt) described his latest contribution to our best-selling poster art collection: Legends of the National Parks and Mythical Creatures Around the World. This iconic Chupacabra design and mythical creature art is available as a poster, print (framed or unframed), canvas, metal sign, or as a set of notecards or postcards, with multiple sizes available for prints, canvases, and metal signs. 🖼

Coffee is enchanting, a staple of the human diet for centuries, both for its flavor and its caffeine properties. In fact, coffee is so beloved worldwide that many countries and regions have become quite proficient at growing, roasting, and brewing it. ☕️

Arabic coffee, for example, is a brewed coffee made from Coffea arabica beans. Many countries throughout the Middle East have developed distinct methods for brewing and preparing coffee, such as adding cardamom spice to the brew. 🫖

To celebrate a part of the world that makes truly delicious coffee, Anderson Design Group rendered a vintage poster and retro design that’s fit for a grand sheik. This vintage-looking artwork is styled after the Golden Age of poster art. It will look great on any wall as a poster, canvas, metal sign, postcard, or notecard. 🖼️

Welcome to Topeka, Kansas. An iconic Midwestern town, Topeka holds a rich history in the Civil Rights Movement. ⚖

The landmark Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision had its roots in Topeka. The city was also a bastion for the abolitionist movement (Topeka was founded in 1854 by antislavery settlers). 👨‍⚖️

Topeka’s Capitol building is even taller than the U.S. Capitol! 🌇

The city also boasts a vibrant arts district, family-friendly parks, and historic sites. 🏛

“There are places on Earth where the wind carries more than snow… High in the Himalayas, where blizzards erase every trail before dawn, stories persist of enormous footprints appearing where no one has walked, and of an unseen presence watching from the ridge lines before vanishing into the white. My latest illustration, Yeti of Nepal, explores that unsettling space between myth and reality. Is the Yeti simply a legend born from the mountains, or is it something ancient that has mastered the art of never being found?” 🦍

That’s how collaborating artist Arden von Haeger (ArdenArt) described his latest contribution to our best-selling poster art collection: Legends of the National Parks and Mythical Creatures Around the World. 👹

This iconic Yeti design and mythical creature art is available as a poster, print (framed or unframed), canvas, metal sign, or as a set of notecards or postcards, with multiple sizes available for prints, canvases, and metal signs. 🖼

If you had the opportunity to visit one, which would you choose? 🤔

The Emerald City: Throughout the history of literature, some of the iconic locations and destinations that stand out most have been places that were depicted as utopias or safe havens, places the protagonist was trying to reach to accomplish a goal. In L. Frank Baum’s Oz book series, the Emerald City plays that role. 🌇

Metropolis: Metropolis is a fictitious Art Deco-styled city that caught the eye of ADG founder Joel Anderson and his team of illustrators while they researched ancient wonders, legendary landmarks, lost cities, and mythological marvels. This rendering of the city of Metropolis is inspired by the 1927 German expressionist science-fiction silent film directed by Fritz Lang and written by Thea von Harbou in collaboration with Lang, based on von Harbou’s 1925 novel of the same name. 🌆
