When I look at it, it’s almost like I didn’t paint it.
My dad shared a vision with me on a little Post-it. He gave me a sketch, the best sketch he could make in his own way, and there was something powerful in those little lines and that simple doodle.
But the symbolism behind it meant so much to me that I had to begin the project right away.
This is who we are.
We are the man kneeling.
Time and time and time and time and time again, even the most mature Christians sometimes find a way, intentionally or unintentionally, to turn our backs on Jesus.
But we should never forget the finished work of the cross and what He has done for us.
His blood drips down on us and covers our sins.
So let us be repentant. Let us turn away from our wickedness and unrighteousness and turn back toward God. Everyday.
“For He will abundantly pardon.”
Amen.
