Just finished a zoom meeting with an enthusiastic and insightful playreading group in FloridA. They wanted to talk with me about a short play I'd written called "Red Roses." Samuel French, Theatre & Film Bookshop published it in an anthology of short plays of mine, "The Man in the Gray Suit & Other Short Plays" by Lisa Soland. I thoroughly enjoyed that conversation!

Don't miss Lisa Soland's new play PAT, based on the life of Coach Pat Summitt. It opens October 3 in the Old Performing Arts Center in downtown Knoxville and runs for four weekends.
This is the woman I have the privilege of portraying in my upcoming world-premiere play PAT, a one-person show on the life of legendary coach PAT SUMMITT. This production has received a "thumbs up" from the Pat Summitt Foundation, whose members will be in attendance. It's exciting. I sure hope you'll join us. Get your tickets today!
"I have a deep appreciation for the theatre. I also love the Lady Vols and what our program was able to accomplish. Never did I imagine these two passions would come together, but playwright and actress Lisa Soland has brilliantly captured the essence of Pat Summitt in her play 'PAT.' Not only does Ms. Soland physically resemble Summitt, but her passion and intensity while in character are striking. The play goes beyond storytelling; it inspires and uplifts the human spirit. Don’t miss it!"

What they’re saying about the play...
"Sergeant York: The Play is wonderful. Playwright Lisa Soland has really captured the heart and soul of what my great grandfather, Alvin York, was all about. She’s done extensive research, not only on Sgt. York, but interviews with the family, spending a lot of time in Pall Mall, getting to know the culture and the family and the story about the man behind the medals. This play captures Sgt. York's loyalty to God and country, and his service to the community.
It's simply a wonderful play."
– Deborah York, Executive Director of The Sgt. York Patriotic Foundation and great granddaughter of Alvin York
"If you have the opportunity, you really should check out Sergeant York: The Play. It's incredibly historically accurate, and true to the essence of Sgt. York's story. Seeing this play is a great opportunity to learn more about a true American Hero."
– Josh Wagner, Sgt. Alvin York State Park Manager
