Zentangle at the Dogwood Arts Festival!

I am beyond thrilled to be one of the makers selected for the Dogwood Arts Festival Maker Experience at World’s Fair Park this weekend! Saturday, April 26, I will be demonstrating Zentangle 3-5 pm as well as teaching a 1-hour Zentangle workshop 6-7pm. The demo is free, and the workshop is only $10!

This opportunity is organized by the Maker City and Knox Makers partnering with the Dogwood Arts Festival. How I love the creative vibe of our beloved Scruffy City!

Upcoming beginner’s class here in West Knoxville!

My first Zentangle® class of 2025 is coming right up! This Sunday afternoon, February 23, I will be teaching my entry-level Zentangle Foundations class, a perfect introduction to the fun and relaxing Zentangle Method of drawing beautiful nonobjective compositions.

I’m excited to be back at the beautiful Gettysvue Clubhouse, which means that you can enjoy a glass of wine and a light bite as you learn. Class runs from 1-4pm. You do not have to be a member of Gettysvue to attend! Sign up by calling or emailing Kate Ellyn Worthington at

It's almost here! How exciting!!!! Tomorrow, Monday July 15, is the International Day of Zentangle! 😃💖✍💖🙌
At 10am Eastern, there will be a YouTube Live event on the official Zentangle® YouTube channel...tangle along the founders and other Zentangle enthusiasts around the world using basic supplies...if you can't make it to the live event, it will be avaiable afterwards on their YouTube channel.

I am so excited to be teaching my first local Zentangle classes of 2024 this Sunday, February 25, and the following Sunday, March 3 at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center on Deane Hill Drive. 🙌💖✍️
Each class is 1:00pm -3:00 pm; the cost is $35 for KJA members, and $45 for nonmember. Materials are included! You can take either or both sessions; they are geared toward beginners. Different tangles (patterns) will be taught, so if you sign up for both, you will learn new material.

Learn a relaxing, meditative way to create beautiful pen and ink drawings with local artist Amy Broady, a Certified Zentangle Teacher. Sign up for one or both classes - additional techniques will be taught at the second class for continuing students. All materials provided. Registration Deadline is....

Hello again! How are you?
I am back. I did not mean to take a leave of absence...it just sort of happened. I was too busy for my own good in April and May and June. So I had to take a social media break in July and August without intending to. I traveled a lot during those months! Cleveland; Plano, Texas; Toronto, Canada; Cincinnati; New York City plus Long Island and New Jersey. I went south, I went north, I went east...I went quiet. At the start of July I finished a Bitty BookZ for a swap, and completed one tile in Texas, but other than that I haven't been tangling. In between packing and unpacking, I started the school year, so I have been focused on my elementary students. Now I am ready and eager to connect with my adult students and tangle friends again. I have missed you, and am so sorry that I disappeared for weeks on end! (If you ever want to reach me, feel free to send me a note via messenger. I am always happy to connect on an individual basis even if I am quiet in the group.)
