Let's meet one of the amazing storytellers for our United We Style 2022 event📣 Kara J Kemp fosters collaboration and connection through her storytelling, coaching and community involvement, impromptu song breakouts, hostess skills and off-the-chart organizational tools. She is the owner of Kara Kemp Coaching and General Manager at Tangerine Salon and Spa. A champion of people and their stories, she is co-creator of the Bloom Stage, a multi-genre art series, and the national award-winning storytelling event, United We Style. A Murfreesboro native with an eclectic career in management and creative arts, she serves as a member to Locally Owned Murfreesboro, Murfreesboro Little Theatre and Rutherford Arts Alliance. (She also crafts delicious cocktails and is a champion of dance-offs in her kitchen, but her husband won't concede to her title!)

Today we are highlighting our amazing storyteller that will be at United We Style this year again, Mark Lamb.✨

Mark Lamb is a Grand Slam champion at the Peabody Award winning Moth storytelling series, and was featured on The Moth podcast. He has also appeared on such podcasts as "Take Two Storytelling", "Play It Back", "Love Hurts", and was showcased on NPR's "Regional Voices."

He was the first storyteller to tell a story on PBS' World Channel, "Stories from the Stage." Mark was selected to appear at The 2018 National Storytelling Festival Slam where he told his story "A Boy and His Dolly" and was awarded first place.🤍

KJ Kemp and Tangerine Salon and Spa, in partnership with area salons, present the 10th Annual United We Style, an elevated hair show and storytelling event, on the evening of Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Walnut House performance venue in Historic Downtown Murfreesboro. ✨

This is an innovative and entertaining fundraiser like no other you've ever attend. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties. Tickets go on sale to the public on April 23rd! We hope to see you all there.❤️
