Klamath Area Swing Dance Society Klamath Arear Swing Society is a new group that will be teaching and promoting swing dancing in Klamath Falls!

This group is not currently active, and both I and the other former admin of the group have moved away from Klamath Falls.

However we've gotten several comments and messages over the past couple months on this page. Enough that perhaps there might be enough interested parties to get something started in the Basin? It would be starting from scratch, but if you're interested in participating (or especially if you're interested in leading) the organizational efforts, comment here! It would probably only take one or two driven people to get the effort going, and another half dozen less driven people willing to participate, to get some swing dancing organized in Klamath Falls.

Let's talk about days of the week and times that people might like to get together to dance (and learn to dance!)
I'll start: after about 6pm on weekdays and practically any weeked afternoon. How about you?

So, our air quality here in the basin is still in the red or "unhealthy" category. As it is not the safest time to exercise, I am going to postpone this event until later in the month when we can all hopefully breathe without inhaling smoke! Sorry to anyone who was planning on this Wednesday, but it'll be much more fun when we don't trigger people's asthma!

Sorry this is being posted a bit later than I'd planned.

At the meeting on 6/30, we decided to start with one dance and gauge enthusiasm from there. . . So, we're announcing a dance for Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 7 PM!!! We'll hold a half hour beginner lesson from 7-7:30.

We have one potential location, but if we have a larger group of people interested, we may have to come up with a bigger space! Please RSVP, so that I can try to plan if need be!

We've hit a critical mass of interested people! Let's have an organizational meeting Sunday, June 30th at 3 PM at Matteo's coffee shop. If some critical people aren't able to make it post below, and we can swap the date/time/etc.
