The generosity of this community NEVER ceases to astound me!!! Today while volunteering in the clothing room... our friend Ben Carey stopped by and said it's been a while since I have donated and gave money to buy the plates and sugar we have been needing for a couple weeks. I get home and my friend and neighbor Diana Wendt of Blue Dog Glass stops by and gives money to by 10 $10 Gas gift cards to give to the guests that are working and need a hand with fuel. While in line the cashier and the gal behind me asked about me buying soooo many disposable plates and sugar and the next transaction 10 gas cards...I tell them about KentHOPE and a little about their programs, Jennifer Hirjak then says can I buy 5 more gas cards? I am shocked and smile and answer you bet... and she does...

I am telling you, God is working through all of us by first putting the desire to help others in your heart and then our action of finding a way to do it.

We the volunteers and staff of KentHOPE thank you for your love and faith in these ladies and their children that come to orientation and work on a new beginning. Your never failing faith and support is key to their success. To be believed in is powerful!

Had a fun, special grandma B-day project class this weekend with two creative students, Sam and her mom Mary ....These fused glass leaves will be part of two larger finished pieces that will also incorporate some of Grandma's bead collection which spans several decades...Can't wait to see final B-day piece...will post updates soon...

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn some amazing fusing/casting techniques from one of my favorite instructors...Michael Dupille is a fantastic instructor with an amazing studio and world class lunches...I have taken several classes with him since I first began working in kiln glass 20 years ago... with each experience, I acquired new perspectives to utilize in my own work......A rare opportunity to learn from one of the best!

Some spots still available in my Forest for the Trees workshops in May and September. Held at my home studio in beautiful Seattle.

From start to finish.. time to click your creative light on!

There's limited space available in GRCC Fused Glass Nightlight Class held off-campus @ Blue Dog Glass Art, Inc. studio starting this Saturday Feb 25, 2017 at 9 AM. Create you own glass nightlights! Students of all skill levels will design, cut glass,and work with color/compostion to create 2-4 nightlights. This is a fun, hands-on class for any student who loves glass and wants to try making their own masterpiece!

Great garden pieces for spring....

''Tis the season to be freezing (in my workshop). I have been busy getting things ready for Spring and my sale the end of January. Here are a few things that I have ready. All benches are made of barn wood. The large 40" is $45, the medium 30" $35, and the small 20" $25. The 2 barn wood planter boxes with the iron trellis are $25, and the birdhouse bench/plant stand is $30. All have a coat of polyurethane. Let me know if you would like anything.
