Welcome to Episode 1 of the Healm House Barn Mini Series—where we’re taking the unfinished space above our old barn and turning it into a cozy, guest-friendly apartment.

The goal: make a small space feel BIG, beautiful and intentional… on a real-life budget. 💸

I’m bringing you along for ALL of it—the design plans, budget finds, DIYs, things that go wrong, things I change my mind about halfway through 😬, and hopefully one pretty incredible before + after.

We’ve got a blank space, a budget and a LOT to do.

Cleaning out the barn/garage because the next phase is officially happening! 🧹🔨✨

After years of this space sitting mostly unused, we’re clearing it out to make room for another round of materials being delivered to finally finish the barn at HEALM House.

And I love the history here—the family before us built boats in this very barn, so it feels like the perfect passing of hands. A space that was once used to build and create is getting a new life as a place for our kids to play, our family to enjoy, and a proper garage where I can keep building, DIYing, and creating. 🛠️⛵️

Different projects, different family, but the same creative spirit. ❤️

Sometimes progress looks like a gorgeous before-and-after…and sometimes it looks like cleaning out an entire garage before the delivery truck arrives. 😂
