❤️Voyage of Hope❤️

A Voyage of Hope brings together the one-of-a-kind maritime clay sculptures of David Riley Peterson for a special two-week exhibition at Maine Art Hill.

This exhibition has been created during a deeply personal chapter in the artist’s life. It is a celebration of resilience, love, and hope.

Each boat is hand built using slab construction and some techniques that parallel traditional wooden boat building. Each work is an homage to the hardworking boats and folks that have served Maine’s coastal community.

100% of proceeds from David’s show will be donated to the American Cancer Society, supporting those impacted by cancer and the ongoing fight against the disease.

A whispered song upon the breeze,
Where sunlight dances, softly falling,
Across the restless seas.

Salt air drifts through weathered harbors,
Where boats rest in the morning still.
The tides will always come and go,
As they always have, and always will.

And standing there, one comes to know it
In salt and fog, in warmth and chill
The generations have called it

Birds, cairns, and stones. These incredible glass works by David Jacobson have just arrived to Maine Art Hill.

“Tanager” > “Strength” > “Spotted Thorndike”

Jacobson describes his approach to glasswork as “I employ contemporary colors with classical forms to create a unique expression in each piece. Texture and vibrant color combinations are vital; my pieces are meant to be you held and explored as well as viewed. For me, making glass is an honor.”
