🌕 お月見 — Otsukimi 🌕
Have you ever looked up at a beautiful full moon and just stopped to admire it? 🌕
In Japan, there's a traditional autumn celebration called お月見 (Otsukimi), meaning "moon viewing." People gather to appreciate the beauty of the autumn full moon, often enjoying tsukimi dango (round rice dumplings), seasonal foods, sake, and decorations made with pampas grass. 🎑🍡
It's a simple tradition with a beautiful idea behind it: slow down, appreciate the season, and enjoy the moon.
Here at Lone Star Ronin, we love finding little connections between Japanese and Texas culture. Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth is having their moon viewing festival on Saturday, September 26th. Save the date to grab a drink, step outside, and take a look up🌕🤠
