My cinematic adventures for the month of June, got 43 films in. My Favorites were Masters of the Universe (2026), Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die; and Project Hail Mary all of which are must see in my opinion. So time to Sally Forth for July’s movie madness and revisit some old favorites.

👍🏻👍🏻

Dr. Kelson finds himself in a strange relationship and Spike is stuck in a Nightmare he can’t eacape.
This picks up a few days after 28 years later and leads us all the way to one of the best endings and most satisfying endings in a zombie franchise ever. This is so worth your time, enjoy my friends.

The Bluff (2026)
Director: Frank E Flowers
Streaming: Prime Video
👍🏻

A former pirate captain’s life is upended when a former friend turned adversary shows up and brings chaos and death to her home. Now she mist fall back into her old swashbuckling ways to save her son and sister.
This was so generic as far as the story goes and that would be fine if it had something special about it to make me care but this is just a cookie cutter action film. It did have beautiful cinematography and good action sequences but overall it didn’t really do anything for me.

👍🏻👍🏻

A corporate landman is tasked with buying out a gym from it’s owner but after meeting and getting to know the owner and the girl at the front desk he has a change of heart and sets out to right his wrongs.
This was very solid and had a great cast, people I never thought i’d see sharing the screen together. Good performances and a solid crisp script give this that little something that sets it apart from other sports dramas. Check it out my friends!

A young man wakes up after a car crash and his fiancée is missing. On his journey to find her he meets up with a strange woman and together they must uncover the mystery of where she is and where she has gone.
One of the more original zombie films I’ve seen in a very long time. The acting is good, the special effects are good but this movie shines through its story and the way it is told. Definitely check this one out it is worth your time my friends.

Cutter is a busted up boozed out Vietnam vet, when his friend comes into yown and is accused of murder, Cutter sets out for revenge in his own way.
By far the best John Heard performance I have ever seen, he stole every scene and leant his brand of intensity to the character. Definitely worth a watch.

A reality show cop is killed filming an episode of his show only to wake up in a strange place surrounded by strange people and is made to fight to the death for the entertainment of the futuristic masses.
This was something special in my opinion, and while it may not have the greatest production quality, the passion and spirit are there and I feel if you gave this filmmaker a budget he could really work with he could make something amazing. This is definitely worth your time my friends.

One Battle After Another (2025)
Director: Paul Thomas Anderson
Streaming: HBOMax
👎🏻👎🏻

A group of revolutionaries wind up being hunted by their arch nemesis 16 yrs after they go dark.
I like PTA films but this just was not for me, I feel like the odd man out for not liking it when seems the majority of people do. Either way I found it absurd and not based in any reality of how things work. Give it a watch though you find you really dig it.
