My family is moving house, and my realtor described my style using the words “upscale whimsy” and I’ve never been more flattered in my life! I had a long layover in the airport this weekend, and those words kept floating through my head and led to this creation.

For anyone still reading: I hope my realtor’s words inspire you to be thoughtful and creative in the way you give compliments! You never know when your words might become a part of someone else’s identity, mantra, or perception of self.

For anyone STILL reading: I can’t recommend Andrea Smith enough as a realtor in the Katy area. This woman CARES about her clients, she is meticulous, she is highly intelligent, strategic and personable, and she’s like your best friend if your best friend literally keeps your life together. I’d say “be like Andrea,” but that would be too much to ask, so I’ll just say, “go hire Andrea.” You can thank me later. 😍

Fun facts about Jessica:

- She is an organizational wizard.

- She is bursting with brilliant, creative ideas and supportive energy.

- She loves vanilla ice cream with lots of chunky goodness in it.

- Rainbows, confetti, hot air balloons, cats, babies, and flowers make her happy.

- She has a Masters Degree, is currently writing a Children’s book, and has the brightest smile in Texas.

I’m so excited to have Jessica join me in bringing art to everywhere, because art is fun, and enjoying it together is even better.

“Between the Rain”

This one is messy. The mess is purposeful. Purposeful mess sounds a lot like the human experience, to me. We experience rain passing through, whether it be sorrowful, life giving, thirst quenching, or cleansing. Sometimes we feel like we are drowning in the mess. And then, there are the moments between the rain, where a light shines on the flowers blooming along our path, and we have a chance to take stock of the fruits of our relentless paddling.
