It is with frustrated, heavy, and disappointed hearts, that we come to you today with this announcement:
After a combined 30+ years of making music( in various acts and incarnations), and hopefully bringing a smile or two, Cheeks & Phoenix are bidding you farewell. Time waits for no man or woman, and we have both found ourselves reaping the effects recently. This is not a "him or her" thing. This a "both of us" thing. We're worn out, broken, and ultimately have had to spend more time attempting to fix our bodies, than making music. As much as it breaks our hearts to make this announcement, the Universe has let us know that it's time to stop the show.
So with that. ONE More Faire show.
We will be returning for the second year of the Dragon Lake Renaissance Festival May 16/17 & 23/24
Make your plans to come see us on a faire stage one last time.
But what about the planned Heckfire & Charcoal 2? One way or another that CD will get finished. No guarantees on anything else but we will finish that one.
Finally, we would like to thank you, the Congregation, for sticking by us for all of these years. Thank you for listening. Thank you for showing us love. But most of all, thank you for sharing your friendship.
