Kansas City’s Irish community had a pretty special moment this past weekend. ☘️

At Browne’s Irish Marketplace, Eddie Delahunt was honored with a proclamation from Mayor Quinton Lucas declaring September 4 “Eddie Delahunt Day” in Kansas City. Browne’s also named their outdoor stage in his honor, and a letter from Consul General of Ireland was read in celebration of Eddie’s incredible impact.

Eddie’s music, stories, warmth and unmistakable Irish spirit have helped shape what Irish culture feels like in Kansas City — on stages, in pubs, at our festival and in the hearts of so many who have had the joy of hearing him play.

We’re grateful to celebrate a true Kansas City Irish legend. Sláinte to Eddie! 🎶
