It’s cultural, which makes being a black atheist extremely difficult. Regardless of where you’re at in your journey, there are friends waiting to help you. The purpose of this group isn’t to separate us from other atheists. It’s to change the perception that being black automatically means you believe in the supernatural. We can and do lead positive, fulfilling lives without a higher power...because reason comes in all shades.
