I did my third time volunteering at Hawaii Island Humane Society and I got some fun videos of some of the adoptable cats I wanted to share. Volunteering here brings me so much joy because I get to hang out with so many animals and give them love. At one point the white and tabby kitty grabbed my phone by the mouth and tried to carry it away. They all loved watching themselves on the phone which just cracked me up.

I do LOVE hibiscus šŸŒŗ. Probably my favorite tropical flower. Since I was a young adult a hibiscus meant tropical until one day in Oregon my Mom (Sally) helped me plant one in a pot. It didnā€™t do nearly as good as the ones I have here in Hawaiā€™i but I had it for years and every bloom brought me joy.

Yesterday this is how my day started šŸŒˆ ā˜•ļø and it just got better from there because I spent several hours volunteering at Hawaii Island Humane Society playing with cats and walking dogs and then picked up my IRONMAN World Championship volunteer shirt for Saturday. I feel insanely grateful for this life and being able to give back to my community in ways that fill my bucket.

I had a visitor in my office yesterday and while she is not welcome inside I couldnā€™t help but take a photo. She is so so beautiful. Of course then she scurried off during our photo shoot and may still be in my office. I sure hope she finds her way outside. This is Hawaiā€™i life but it is the first time Iā€™ve seen one in the house.
