I wonder if it ever grew tired
of searching for the light.

Or if, somehow,
it just kept reaching.

Maybe that’s why I stopped
when I saw you.

Because for a moment,
I saw something familiar.

A little weathered.
A little tired.
Still standing.

And beautiful in a way
only the storms could have taught you to be.

This afternoon, Ellie found a ladybug and spent several minutes completely captivated by it.

Lately, life has been a little heavy behind the scenes.
A lot of change, a lot of learning, a lot of trying to find beauty in the middle of chaos. 🌿

But moments like this remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Kids don’t care if the sky is stormy. They don’t care if life is perfectly put together. They find joy in worms, muddy shoes, giggles, windblown hair, and tiny moments most people overlook.

And honestly… maybe we should too. 🤎

Photography has always been more than pictures to me. It’s freezing the real stuff — the warmth, the imperfect moments, the little pieces of life we never get back.

Today was a pretty special day 💚🎓

My sweet Everly officially graduated Pre-K today, and I honestly don’t know how we got here so fast.

Watching her grow into this bright, funny, loving little girl has been one of the greatest joys of my life. And moments like these remind me exactly why I love photography so much — because time moves way too quickly, and these little seasons deserve to be remembered. ✨

The curls, the smile, the boots, the excitement… all of it. 🤍

These aren’t just pictures. They’re memories we’ll look back on years from now and still feel. 🌿📸
