Janesville Little Theater is excited to announce our action packed 98th season! The big news about this season is that we’ve moved! All four shows for our 2026-2027 season will be performed at the Kirk Denmark Theater at UW Rock County.
Our Fall show will be Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit. When an encounter with a spiritual medium goes awry, Charles becomes haunted by the scariest ghost of them all- the ghost of his ex-wife! This classic horror comedy will open at the beginning of November, audition dates will be posted soon if you want to be involved!
In the winter, we will be bringing Ira Levin’s Deathtrap to the stage. This twisty thriller follows a struggling writer who realizes the only way to save his career is to kill his protege and take credit for his work. But who is really trying to kill whom?
Our spring show is Calendar Girls, by Tim Firth. Based on the true story, this play centers around a group of older women who decide to make a nudie calendar to raise money for their local hospital’s cancer wing, sending shockwaves around their small community. This funny and heartwarming show about aging gracefully and loving yourself will be opening in May, just in time for Mother’s day!
But that’s not all- Last year we ran a competition for regional playwrights, and the winner will be performed next summer! Wordless Whimsies by Bernie Hein will premiere in July. Primarily performed through mime and music, Wordless Whimsies is a series of scenes examining the full range of human emotion.
Janesville Little Theater is open to all experience levels; whether you’ve performed in hundreds of shows or have never been on stage but have always been curious. We’re always looking for people with diverse creative backgrounds to join us as we continue towards our 100th consecutive season.
