I will miss you so much Lijah. You were one of my best friends and I adored you and thank you for always letting me know you loved me.
I can’t talk to you about Wind and Truth, or open those Bloomburrow boxes you wanted to open together so badly, and I never got to teach you Frostgrave. I never got to take you to Disney, tubing down the river, give you the nerdy Christmas gifts, or take you to that incredible turtle pond. I’ll miss the snowboarding, wild Jeep rides, late anime nights with candy, boba… I could go on and on. I will miss that so much. But I will make sure to have those adventures with the rest of the fam. And I cherished all the things we did get to do. That time we were putting in a new floor at the lady’s house and we found all that money under her bed!? 😳 😝
I do get to see you again in heaven because you trusted Jesus. You’re with Joshy now. I KNOW you’re there. And although I don’t know quite how heaven works… I’d like to imagine you two nerds are doing silly dances, climbing trees, finding beautiful rocks, collecting critters, and eating yummy food.
I wish I could keep sending you videos of what cool creatures I found recently. That was a love that only us two shared. No one else was fascinated by slimy creatures like us haha! I’ll start sending them to Jear now. We talked about that and how we’ll send them to each other now! You definitely won our last weekly video contest after all those snapping turtles you caught!
I think one of the hardest things I’ve been thinking about lately is when we were at Joshy’s funeral and how you sat next to me and held my hand and rubbed your thumb across my hand the whole time while we cried together. I wish you could sit next to me this time. I’m so glad your worldly pain is gone and you are in heaven now.
Thank you for teaching me how to love better. You were like Joshy in that way. Always telling people you loved them. Not just when people were leaving or saying goodbye. Always saying it. Randomly. I’m trying to be better about that!
I still hear your voice in my mind saying “Love ya Jen!” I hope I never lose that. I love you too broski! Cya later!
