So Vivi-girl gave us a scare.
This is Vivian, former shop dog at Fat Cat Art Cafe . I adopted her after the passing of her owner (slash shop owner) Pepper, a little over a month ago.
As I was on my way back from Pepper's memorial (out of state), the boarding place called and said Vivi was suddenly unwell and rapidly declining, and she needed to go to the vet asap.
One of my cousins was able to pick her up, and I was able to meet them at the vet as I got back into town.
It was determined Vivian had some sort of internal infection, and would need to go to the 24 hour ICU vet for round the clock supportive care to keep her stable til the antibiotics kicked in. Thankfully nothing else seemed to be wrong with her, and after a couple days she was able to come home and continue oral antibiotics.
Extremely relieved she is back home and doing okay; however, the vet bill for getting her back to okay is large (total from two vets $5113)!
